Terms & Conditions
The following terms form part of the contract between the ‘client’ and ‘Happy Dogs Pet Care’.
Dog Walking & Pet Drop In Services

Happy Dogs Pet Care guarantees to treat every animal in their care with the upmost love and care possible.

Happy Dogs Pet Care guarantees that any behaviour correction given to the dogs in their care will be based on modern, scientifically-proven, positive methodology.

Happy Dogs Pet Care will collect your dog(s) and transfer them safely and securely in the car to the walking area, exercise them, and return them to the client’s home, washed down and towel dried.

Happy Dogs Pet Care will only let dogs off the lead with prior consent.

Happy Dogs Pet Care offers services where dogs mix and travel in groups and the client accepts that during the course of normal play / interaction, it is possible for dogs to sustain minor injuries. All interaction is closely monitored but injuries such as scratches, torn ligaments and other injuries can occur and Happy Dogs Pet Care takes no responsibility for these injuries.

Happy Dogs Pet Care will ensure that insurance is in place at all times to ensure that 3rd party liability is covered.

In the event of an accident and or injury, Happy Dogs Pet Care will endeavour to transport your pet to your preferred vet, however this cannot be guaranteed as the distance and urgency of the situation must take priority.

The client authorises Happy Dogs Pet Care to seek the services of a vet as they deem necessary while their pet is in the care of Happy Dogs Pet Care at full cost to the client.

Happy Dogs Pet Care will contact the owner in the event of an accident / emergency situation as soon as it physically possible. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that an up-to-date contact number is provided, and their pet is microchipped.

Happy Dogs Pet Care will make every effort to adhere to the days / times agreed in the contract but due to circumstances outside of our control, some flexibility is required. Traffic and weather conditions can delay the pick-up time, or any issues collecting / dropping off a previous animals may have a knock-on effect with other dogs. In the event of very bad weather, Happy Dogs Pet Care will contact the client to discuss the options available.

Happy Dogs Pet Care reserves the right to refuse admission if the client fails to provide any information in relation to changes in the dog’s behaviour / and or health. The client agrees that they will inform Happy Dogs Pet Care immediately of any aggressive, dangerous behaviour that could cause harm to any animals or individuals.

Happy Dogs Pet Care accepts dogs on group walks based on the client’s assessment of their behaviour / suitability. If Happy Dogs Pet Care feels that this is not appropriate, they reserve the right to change the walk to an individual walk (at the appropriate cost) for any future walks. The client has the right to refuse this and cancel the contract.

Happy Dogs Pet Care agree to keep any keys in a locked area which will be labelled with only the animal's name and will not show the clients address on the keys in case of loss or theft.

Happy Dogs Pet Care agree to only enter the client’s property for the sole purpose of collection and drop off at the agreed days / times.

Happy Dogs Pet Care will accept bitches in season on the condition that they are walked solo at the appropriate cost. Happy Dogs Pet Care will take your bitch to a quiet area and she will be walked on the lead at all times.

Unfortunately, due to the insurance policy conditions, Happy Dogs Pet Care are not able to accept XL Bully dogs.

The client accepts that due to the dogs travelling and socialising in a group that it is possible for them to transmit illnesses such as kennel cough and Happy Dogs Pet Care accepts no liability for the transmission of any illness.

The client agrees to inform Happy Dogs Pet Care of any illness / injury prior to the walk.

Happy Dogs Pet Care agree to only enter the client’s property for the sole purpose of drop in visits at the agreed days / times.

The client consents to Happy Dogs feeding their pet/s as requested.

The client agrees that if they require their pet to be medicated during the visits, they will give clear instructions on how / when to administer the medication. Happy Pets cannot accept liability for any adverse reactions that a pet may suffer from medication supplied by the client.

Happy Dogs cannot be held liable for any theft or damage to the client’s property unless we can be shown to be negligent.

Happy Dogs Pet Care cannot be held liable for any loss of pets that have access to an unlocked “cat flap” or other form of exit/entry.

The client should inform Happy Dogs Pet Care of any relevant information regarding any alarm or special access to the property.

Once a booking is made, Happy Dogs Pet Care will require a set of house keys no less than 3 days before the booking start date.

No liability can be attached Happy Dogs Pet Care if a third party shares access to the client’s property or pets.

Happy Dogs Pet Care will stay the full duration of a visit, unless otherwise arranged with the client.

Happy Dogs Pet Care accepts no liability for the loss or damage to leads, collars, clothing, tags or any other items while in their care.

For the prevention of a potentially life-threatening condition called GDV Happy Dogs Pet Care asks the client to ensure that their dog has not eaten immediately prior to attending their walk. Exercising immediately after eating can cause bloating which can lead to GDV. It is more common in larger breeds but can happen to any dog.

Happy Dogs Pet Care carries a range of dog coats in case of very bad weather, however they cannot guarantee that they will have one that fits every client’s dog(s), as such if the client does not wish their dog to become too wet in very bad weather, it is the responsibility of the client to provide one on the day. Happy Dogs Pet Care is limited in both time and materials needed for thorough drying in these circumstances, and cannot guarantee that they can get the dog completely dry, it is therefore recommended that the client provide a coat on these occasions.

During times of very hot weather, walks will be restricted to shaded grass or wooded areas or areas with water play to ensure the dogs do not overheat.

Happy Dogs Pet Care guarantees that it will not share any client information with 3rd parties.
Booking
Bookings can be made via email or messaging. Any bookings made will be followed up with an email confirmation detailing the date, time, occurrence, price and payment details.
Clients are required to send any requests for amendments to the following weeks schedule to Happy Dogs via email by the Saturday evening. Happy Dogs will adhere to the same condition if there are any amendments.
Cancellation
Both Happy Dogs Pet Care and the client agree to give 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations. Failure to give 24 hours’ notice will result in the full payment being due.
Payment
Payment is due before the walk / visit commences. For regular walks, payment for the following week should be made via bank transfer / Paypal by the evening of the Sunday before. For one off walks, cash or Paypal payments can be accepted at the time of collection.
